- Lot Description
Late 19th to early 20th century. Includes one sword by Ward-Stilson Co. and one by an unknown maker. Ward-Stilson blade length 28.25," 34.75" overall. Wire wrapped red leather grip. Ricasso marked WARD STILSON CO. NEW LONDON OHIO. Blade marked I.O.O.F. with floral etching. Steel scabbard etched with I.O.O.F. symbols. Unknown sword blade length 27.75," overall length 35." Painted wooden grip. Blade marked Henry Fuers and Aurora No. 27. Brass scabbard etched with typical I.O.O.F. symbols.
1) Very good condition. Blade clean with light patina developing. Grip is intact with slight darkening of leather. Scabbard bright with clear etchings. 2) Good condition. Blade is bright with small patches of pitting. Grip retains finish. Brass scabbard has developed an uneven patina, with etchings still clear.Condition
