- Lot Description
Jefferson, Thomas (1743-1826). President of the United States (1801-1809). DS, 1p, 11.5 x 17.5 in. (sight), on vellum with seal lower left., n.d. Signed by Thomas Jefferson as President and James Madison (1751-1836) as Secretary of State (1801-1809). The document is a partially printed ship's passage, signed and affixed with the Great Seal of the United States, but unused, with the spaces left blank. Ca 1801-1809. Framed, 14 x 20.5 in.
It seems to be laid down on paper and has some wrinkling, trimming by a previous owner, and fading of the original seal. It has not been observed outside its frame.Condition
