- Lot Description
Pen and ink drawing, 22 x 28 in. (sight), framed, 24 x 30 in. Thomas A. Edison. The World's Greatest Inventor. Signed lower right "By Dick Prisk" and dated 1939. An incredibly detailed rendering produced in a highly skilled hand, paying tribute to Edison, featuring a portrait of the inventor at center surrounded by small vignettes showing Edison with his inventions, most notably the light bulb and Victrola. With Edison's birth and death dates noted at bottom, as well as the following statement, "Edisons Life Belongs To the World And All People. His Philosophy of Life was Work Bringing Out the Secrets of Nature and Applying Them for the Happiness of Man."
Not examined outside of frame. Few very light stains. Attractive pen and ink drawing.Condition
