The Sun. New York: October 18, 1871. Vol. XXXVI No. 1864. 4 pp. 23 x 18 in.
Featuring a full, front page report of the 1871 Chicago Fire accompanied by an "Accurate Map of the Burned District." The Great Chicago Fire burned from October 8-10, 1871, destroying thousands of buildings and killing an estimated 300 people.
Condition
Scattered foxing and some wear to the outer margins. Some small holes on a few of the folds as well as pencil markings in the upper left margin.
Item is in good condition for age, insect damage throughout.
