American and German, 20th century. A group of fourteen sterling cases and boxes, including:
four cigarette cases, including three by American makers, marked for maker and STERLING, and one German with enamel top, with hallmarks and 925; largest lg. 5.25. wd. 3 in.;
six American matchbox cases of various sizes, including three with repoussé design and three with insignias or monograms; largest lg. 2.25, wd. 1.5 in.;
one card case and one small box by Gorham, each marked for maker and STERLING; box lg. 3.5, wd. 2 in.;
one coin purse by Webster with leather interior, marked for maker and STERLING; lg. 3.5, wd. 2.75 in.;
and one powder box with mirror and powder ball inside, marked Volupte USA Sterling; lg. 2.5, wd. 2.5 in.;
plus, two coin silver card cases, marked COIN (each ht. 3.75, wd. 2.5 in.); and one Dutch repoussé 830 silver cigarette case depicting Rembrandt's "The Night Watch", marked with Dutch lion hallmark and 830 (lg. 4, wd. 3 in.);
