A group of four works of art on paper by Cleveland artist, Stanislaus Oswieczynski, all unframed, including:
industrial landscape watercolor, signed l.r., 9.75 x 13.5 in. (sheet)
landscape watercolor, signed and dated 1947 l.r., 14.75 x 18.25 in. (sheet)
pastel landscape, signed l.l., 13.75 x 18.75 in. (sheet)
watercolor of a horse, signed. l.r., 15.5 x 19 in. (sheet)
Stanislaus Oswieczynski (later Oswiecinski) studied at the Cleveland School of Art, the University of Washington and Lee John Huntington Polytechnic. He regularly exhibited work at the Cleveland Museum of Art's May Show and taught at the Cooper School of Art and Saturday Mornings at the Cleveland Museum of Art. His work can be found in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and among the archives at Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Public Library.
Industrial: Toning, light foxing on upper half, verso has residue on corners. Landscape: Toning, light vertical streak near top right. Pastel: Stain on left side (about 1.5 in. wide), toning, spots of discoloration. Horse: toning, residue around edges, some water damage.Condition
