- Lot Description
** Springfield Model M-1D Sniper Rifle
.30-06 caliber, 24" barrel, S/N 335946 . Parkerized finish, walnut stock. Standard Springfield Arsenal receiver markings, cut op-rod, 12SA marked bolt, 12SA magazine well, 18SA trigger housing, 9SA safety. Barrel dated 3-62 , NM marked rear sight, front sight marked NM/062 . No cartouche, [circle]-P double struck in pistol grip. Mounted with an M84 scope, S/N 47249 and equipped with a removable flash hider and tie-on leather cheek rest marked MRT/1-52 . Likely a CMP assembled M1D, but no paperwork accompanies the rifle.
Very good. Retains most of the Parkerized finish, with light wear. Markings clear in the metal. Mechanically functional, very good, lightly frosted bore. Scope with clear optics. Stock with bumps and dings. Cheek pad with weak and missing stitching.Condition
