Standard Springfield trapdoor lock markings, 1884 breech block markings, standard barrel proofs. Clear SWP/1887 cartouche opposite lock and clear [circle]-P proof behind triggerguard. Clear script NJ cartouche forward of sling bar and block NJ on barrel. Low arch breech, 3-click tumbler, grooved trigger. Correct Buffington rear sight marked " C, " pinned blade front sight, sling bar and ring, trapdoor in butt with 3-piece cleaning rod and M1884 headless shell extractor. A solid, New Jersey marked M1884 carbine with the 1890 barrel band upgrade.
