** Springfield Armory M1911 NRA Pistol
.45 ACP caliber, 5" barrel, S/N 104104 (mfg. ca 1915). Blued finish, double-diamond wood grips. Right side of slide marked with [spread-winged eagle] and MODEL OF 1911 U.S.A. , right side of frame stamped N.R.A. Left side of slide marked PATENTED APR. 20, 1897 / SPET. 9, 1902. DEC. 19, 105. FEV, 14, 1911 / COLT'S PT. F.A. MFG. CO . and SPRINGFIELD ARMORY / U.S.A. Left side of frame marked UNITED STATES PROPERTY . [Flaming bomb] ordnance inspection behind trigger on left side of frame and left rear of slide. Long, smooth-faced trigger, smooth flat mainspring housing, wide checkered hammer spur, checkered thumb safety. Blued barrel, no marks on barrel or on rear of slide under firing pin plate. Includes two folded-edge two-tone magazines with a lanyard loops. NRA marked M1911s sold through the DCM are extremely rare pistols and not often seen for sale.
Good to very good. Retains some faded and thinned blue, with the balance a smoky blue-gray patina. All markings remain clear and crisp. Mechanically functional, fine bore, grips with some wear and smoothing.Condition
