lot of 3, includes long wooden South Pacific bow, includes possible original fiber string, length 75 in.; AND two cane fishing spears, no attached points, lengths 65.5 in. and 68.5 in.; includes loose spear point and tags attributing to the Philippines and General Lawton.
19th century
As a Captain in the U.S. army, Henry Lawton (1843-1899), was an instrumental figure in the Apache Wars and the surrender of Geronimo during the 1886 campaign. He would later serve in the Spanish-American War and would be killed in the Philippine-American War.Provenance: ex. Flayderman Collection
