- Lot Description
Sixth plate daguerreotype of a room with dozen of bottles of chemicals on a work desk, the floor and a shelf, some sort of furnace at right, and numbers written in chalk on the wall "(46.64 + 53.36 = 100.00)." The large bottle on the floor is labeled "Naphtha," which usually refers to a type of petroleum-derived solvent or mineral spirit. It has been suggested that this may be a photographer's lab. Housed in half case.
Some surface wear, including tarnish along perimeter, some light scratches. Nevertheless, content is incredible.Condition
