- Lot Description
English, late 19th-early 20th century. A silverplated coffee urn with lobed body, standard and lid, having scrolling foliate handles and feet, the side with an engraved armorial reading Fear God And Dread Nought, unmarked; oah. 17.5 in.
Fear God And Dread Nought was the motto adopted by John Fisher, 1st Baron Fisher (1841-1920) in 1909.
Provenance: Property from the Descendants of Bertha Benkard Rose, Oyster Bay, NY and Tucson, AZPetaled upper rim slightly bent with some scratches. Repair to right side of dispensing handle.Condition
