Sheraton Bowfront Four-Drawer Chest
American, 19th century. A Sheraton bowfront chest of drawers in crotched mahogany, having a shaped top and paneled sides with four dovetailed, graduated, and cockbeaded drawers flanked by inlaid pilasters, all rising on high turned, reeded legs terminating in ball feet, the top two drawers with chalk signatures on the undersides reading 1 Drawer / M A Tell(?) and 2 Drawer(?) / A L Tell(?); ht. 41, wd. 43.25, dp. 21.5 in.Condition
Age splits to top. Veneer crack on left side edge. Loose molding on third drawer.
