- Lot Description
American, late 19th century. A Shepard "Speaking Dog" cast iron mechanical bank with Shepard trap, marked with title on front and PAT JULY 4, 1885 AND OCT 20, 1885 on underside. Place coin on girl's paddle, and press front lever to open bank and lower paddle, while opening dog's mouth; ht. 7, wd. 7.5, dp. 3 in.
Paint loss, including to girl's face and hands. Could use a cleaning.Condition
