- Lot Description
8x15x46R, 29.5" matted octagonal barrel with ribs, blued finish, carved and checkered walnut Schuetzen-style stock with lobed buttplate. Barrel marked A. FROHN and SUHL. Engraved receiver with foliate scroll perimeter and a dancing beer maid on the reverse and a German sportsman on the obverse. Extended pistol-gripped triggerguard, adjustable double set triggers. Fully adjustable, tang mounted peep sight, ramped front sight blade with protective ears. Stock with raised carving and checkering, as well as raised, carved cheek rest and thumb rest.
Very good. Barrel retains some blue, fading and mixed with a lightly oxidized brown patina with some scattered flecks of surface scale. Mechanically functional, fine bore. Stock crisp some handling marks, dings and minor mars.Condition
