American (Illinois), 1889. A salt-glazed and molded stoneware pig flask by Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna Pottery, having a hole at the rear, with incised hooves and facial details. One side incised and cobalt highlighted with St Louis the Western New York / Rail Road and River Guide / By / Anna Pottery / 1889. The remainder of the pig incised and cobalt highlighted with a map of landmarks including Dunleith, Lasalle, Tonica, Chester, Grand Tower, M & O, Cairo, Purey, O & M, Springfield, Rock Island, Bloomington, Pullman, Decatur, ICRR, Sandovlo, Anna Pottery, Carbondale, Duquoin, Tameroa, Centralia, Ohin, Alma, Kankakee, Mound City, Tunnel Hill, CV & C, Vincennes, Chicago the Corn City, and Cincinnati the Pork Packing City on the underside; lg. 7.5 in.
