An icon depicting Christ the Teacher adorned with a raised metal halo against a background incised with vine motifs, with stamped Imperial double-headed eagle and illegible maker's mark, assayer's mark BC / 1878 for Vladimir Stepanovich Smirnov, 84, and Moscow figural mark, all at bottom; 12.25 x 10.5 in.
