- Lot Description
Russian (Moscow), ca 1900. An icon triptych by the workshop of Pavel Ovichinnikov, with hinged doors opening to reveal three images of religious figures, St. John Rostovsky flanked by St. Nicholas and Sergei Radonezhsky, the interior and exterior decorated with floral and scroll enameling, impressed with maker, city and standard marks on the underside of each section; ht. 4, wd. 2.75 in. (closed), 5.25 in. (open).
Condition
Missing clasp piece to bottom. Minor losses and mild craquelure to interior. Left and right interior panels slightly loose.
