Royal Worcester Dorothy Doughty Cardinals
English, first half 20th century. A pair of porcelain cardinals, male and female, perched on flowering branches, modeled by Dorothy Doughty (1892-1962) for her American Birds series, and produced by Royal Worcester, species, artist signature, and factory marks on underside of base; taller ht. 11.5 in.Condition
Male has repaired tail and multiple leaves, along with some repainting. Very minor chips to leaves on both. Female has a broken petal from an older repair (piece present). Missing original stands.
