- Lot Description
Germany, ca. 1920s-1930s. A group of four porcelain figures by Rosenthal, each with manufacturer's mark to underside, including one titled "Prayer Dancer" by Gustav Oppel (German, 1891-1978), impressed with artist's initials on base and 967/7 on underside (ht. 8.5, wd. 3, dp. 3 in.); one of an Indian snake charmer, impressed 202 on underside (ht. 3.25, wd. 3.5, dp. 1.25 in.); one of an Art Deco dancer (ht. 8.75, wd. 2.5, dp. 3 in.); and one titled "Rococo Dancer" by Langenmantel, impressed with artist's signature on back hem of skirt (ht. 6, wd. 6, dp. 5.5 in.).
Art Deco dancer: professional restoration to thumb on right hand and forefinger on left hand. Indian snake charmer: gilding slightly worn on hat.
