American, ca 1831-33. A shelf clock by Riley Whiting (Winchester, CT), having thirty-hour time and strike wooden works, with interior paper label, the dial with gilding and door with reverse-painted portrait of George Washington. The wooden case with carved eagle crest and carved columns, all on paw feet. Lot includes envelope with parts for Flyer's Patent, ca 1930s; oah. 32.5, wd. 18.5, dp. 5.25 in.
