- Lot Description
English, late 19th-early 20th century. A collection of eighty-one pieces of Ridgeway flow blue porcelain dining service in the "Lugano" pattern, each piece marked on underside, including one large platter, one small platter, two serving bowls, three vegetable dishes, six sauce/salt bowls, twelve small bowls, one lidded tureen, three dinner plates, thirteen luncheon plates, eleven regular bowls, one sugar dish (missing lid), two creamers, one gravy boat, twelve teacups, and twelve saucers; large platter (largest) ht. 2.25, wd. 13.5, dp. 17.5 in.
Crazing, some staining, varying degrees of gold paint loss. One small bowl has repaired crack. Another has a small chip to rim. Two saucers have a small chip to rim. Larger creamer's handle repaired and there is a chip to the base. Two dinner plates have cracks and staining in them, and chips to rim; another has crazing. One luncheon plate has crazing and chips to underside of rim. One regular bowl has crazing and chips to underside of rim, another has a chip and repaint to rim gilding. Four teacups with chip(s) to rim, one with a hairline that has been repaired. Another teacup has a hairline. One teacup has hairline from impact damage.Condition
