12 gauge, 28" barrels, S/N 95873 . Browned and color case hardened finish, checkered pistol-gripped stock with hard rubber Remington logo buttplate. Checkered splinter forend with casehardened latch. Matching serial numbers on water table, under barrels and in forend. 14" length of pull, 3" drop at comb. Exposed hammers, double triggers, extractors. Top of barrel marked at breech - REMINGTON ARMS CO - / - ILION, N.Y. U.S.A. - Both locks marked REMINGTON ARMS CO . Matted top rib with lightly engraved locking lug, barrel with faux Damascus finish and brass bead front sight. A really beautiful example of a late 19th century Remington exposed hammer shotgun in an amazing state of preservation.
