- Lot Description
.50CF, 8" barrel, no S/N. Blued and color case hardened finish, strawed and fire blued small parts, smooth walnut grip and forend. Two-line Remington address and patent mark on reverse of frame, with P and S inspections, as well as a clear and correct CRS (Curtis R. Stickney) script cartouche on the left side of the grip. Includes an open box of 10 original 50CF FA inside-primed copper cased cartridges.
Very good to fine. Retains much of the blue on the barrel, which is fading and thinning. The receiver retains some of the case coloring, which has faded and dulled. Only minute traces of straw remain on the small parts. Fire blued parts like screws and trigger retain some faded and worn finish. Pistol shows minor bumps, dings and surface scratches on both the metal and wood. Mechanically functional, with a fine, bright bore. Grip and forend with dings and mars and a fine cartouche. Cartridges very good with oxidation and discoloration on both the cases and bullets. Box fair, worn and taped with no lid.Condition
