- Lot Description
.22 Long Rifle, 27" barrel, no S/N. Blued finish, smooth pistol-gripped walnut stock. The Model 60-A Target shares the same model designation as the Model 60/60-A rifle but it was marketed as a separate model rifle by Winchester. It features a 27" barrel which was hand lapped at the factory. The stock is heavier than the Model 60 and has an added barrel band, and a checkered steel buttplate. The target sights are the Lyman 55 rear peep sight and series 93 front sight. The barrel is marked "MODEL 60-A TARGET". Total production was no more than 6,363 and unaltered examples like this one are hard to find today. Includes a Kerr "No Buckle" sling.
Very good. Retains most of the blue, which is fading and dulling and shows scattered surface oxidation. Mechanically functional, fine bore, stock with light handling marks.Condition
