Illustrated at top with twin seals at far left and right, the first (at left) depicts a man on his knees, his hands in chains, pleading, "Am I Not A Man and A Brother," with caption below, "A Voice from Great Britain to America, 1834"; the far right seal showing the same man standing proudly, his handcuffs now broken, stating, "This is the Lord's Doing; It is Marvelous," and captioned, "Jubilee Aug. 1834." The two illustrations at top center include an image of three slaves kneeling before a slavemaster with his whip at the ready; the other depicting a teacher in a classroom reading to a group of young boys; with byline below, "Which of These Systems of Education Shall We Hand Down to Posterity?" Above three columns of text printed like a newspaper-type circular, in which the topic of slavery is discussed. Titles included "The Liberty Bell"; "The Collection Box"; "Hebrews XIII 3"; "The Thankful Girl"; "The Good Little Girl"; "Texts on Slavery"; and "Selling Slaves By Weight".
