Madonna and Child was awarded first prize in the ceramic sculpture category at the 1928 Cleveland Museum of Art Annual Exhibition (May Show). As such, it was featured on the cover of the Bulletin of the Cleveland Museum of Art for the month of May that year.

Crazing. Under UV light, there are some small spots on top of base that fluoresce, but are not detectable by touch or sight without UV light.
