Presentation Pitcher Given to War of 1812 Sea Captain, Munson Hinman, 1849
American, ca 1847. A hexagonal earthenware pitcher with gilt embellishments, both sides featuring a painted scene of a man in a red vest and top hat seated and smoking a pipe with a large country home in the background. Frontal panel reading M Hinman / City Hotel / Bridge Port / Connecticut / 1847; ht. 10.25 in.
