- Lot Description
American (Ohio), 1847. A framed sampler by Anna Hartzell of Deerfield, Portage County, Ohio, featuring two Federal-style houses among trees with birds and a dog, framed by a vine border, the upper section with alphabet lines, signed and dated; 16 x 16.25 in. (frame).
Anna Hartzell was born in Deerfield, Ohio in 1840 and resided there until her death in 1906. She married twice, and had six children. Detailed genealogy accompanies sampler. - Shipping Info
