Gilpin, Laura. THE PUEBLOS: A CAMERA CHRONICLE. New York: Hastings House, (1941). First Edition. 9 1/2 by 7 1/4 inches in the original light blue cloth with silver stamping and titling; in pictorial dust jacket. Gilpin (1891-1979) took up photography at the age of 17 and is most famous for her photographs of Navajo people and places. This is the first edition of her first book.
Non-authorial gift inscription to front pastedown; otherwise Near Fine condition in a Very Good pictorial dust jacket which retains the original price of $3.00.Condition
