- Lot Description
Albumen photograph, 6.25 x 4.175 in., on 7 x 5 in. mount, showing a pair of "real cowboys" on horseback, as described on verso, that "worked at the Pitchfork Ranch on the Greybull River in Wyo. about 1894." Although uncredited, the photograph may have been been produced by famed western photographer C.D. Kirkland, who worked in Cheyenne, Wyoming during the last quarter of the 19th century and is best known for his early views of cowboys and ranch life in Wyoming.
Condition
Overall very fine. Few light spots/smudges in top right portion of print. Crease in lower left corner/edge of mount. Water stain visible on mount verso.
Item is in good condition.
