- Lot Description
.45-50 caliber, 28" heavy octagonal barrel, S/N 112. Blue barrel, nickel finish. Marked on the left side of the frame Peabody's Pat July 22, 1862 Manfd By Providence Tool Co, Prov RI. With rear tang sight (part of the tang) and Beach combination folding front sight. Fancy grain checkered straight grip walnut stock and forearm with pewter fore end tip. With pewter tipped wooden ramrod.
Condition
The bore has some very minor pitting and is in good condition. The barrel has a nice plumb to brown patina. Most of the nickel finish remains, but with spotting around the entirety of the frame and lock plate.
