A German native, Plaschke spent most of his life in Louisville. He started his career as a political cartoonist, but soon gained recognition as a landscape painter. Clifty Falls State Park was a popular destination for regional artists of the period. The scene offered here was painted on site in the 1920s.

At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
