- Lot Description
Iron and brass furniture with U.S. marked 1904 saddlebags containing mess kit, condiment can, brush, curry comb, and hoof pick. Leather-hooded wooden stirrups marked "US". Also includes Rock Island-marked canteen. Accompanying Patton Saber marked "L.F. & C." with bursting bomb and "1918". Canvas-covered scabbard includes picket pin. Also included are blanket, shelter half, and 1918 marked rifle scabbard.
Very good. Leather has some surface wear from age but is still pliable. Stamps are readable. Sword blade is clean with no dents or chips in blade. Scabbard has some darkening from age. Picket pin has some loss of paint. Blanket and shelter half are free of large tears or moth holes. Canteen has some rust which has stained the straps.Condition
