- Lot Description
.44 caliber, 31" octagonal barrels, blued finish, walnut stock, brass furniture. Barrels marked B. LOSEY and commercial back-action percussion lock marked MOORE. Brass patchbox, tang mounted peep sight, barrel mounted rear sight, blade front sight. Two wooden ramrods in brass pipes on either side of the barrels. An interesting over/under design with a modified single hammer lock and an underhammer for the bottom barrel.
Sellers notes that B. Losey was known for making multi-barrel rifles in Caroline, NY, but no time frame is provided.
Good. Barrels refinished, locks functional, bores good. Stock with wear, bumps and dings.Condition
