- Lot Description
Evans, David. ADS, 2pp, 7.75 x 12.5 in. Paid in Pittsburgh, June 8, 1798. Accounting "To David Evans, For sundry Carpenter work at fitting up Boats for the Commander in Chiefs family and Stores. Also Boats for the Paymaster Genl. and store Boats..." On second page he gives hours for making gun carriages, etc. with the explanation, "the Reason this work was not included in the Former Account was in Consequence of Major Craig's wish to have the Repair of the Garrison Charg'd separately from other services."
The hours charged on the first page are totalled in pounds, shillings, and cents - 158 " 14 " 6. The amount paid by the government is in US dollars - $423.26 2/3 cents.

Tissue repairs to separations at folds. Minor toning along folds.
