Revolver 1 is in overall fine condition showing considerable original blue finish on the barrel, considerable original blue on the cylinder, areas of original blue on the frame and considerable amount of original niter blue on the base of the loading lever. The trigger also shows original niter blue on both side edges. The brass trigger guard has a pleasing un-cleaned dark patina. The hammer displays the majority of its original case colors. The bore is fine, the action and markings are crisp and the grips are very good to fine overall showing considerable original varnish and several minor old mars from handling and storage.
Revolver 2 is also in overall fine condition displaying considerable original blue finish on the barrel and cylinder with original blue in protected areas of the frame. There are traces of original niter blue at the base of the loading lever and the trigger shows considerable original niter blue finish. The brass triggerguard on this gun also has a pleasing uncleaned dark patina. The hammer is displaying the majority of its original case colors. The bore is fine, the markings and action are crisp and the grips are very good to fine overall showing fine graining and considerable original varnish with just a couple small scattered old mars from handling and storage.
The original wood presentation case is in overall good to very good condition, in the French style of interior; unusual with both guns facing to the left. The casing displays the majority of its original brown lining with some fading, fraying at the edges and contact points and some staining. The exterior of the case is generally good with an old repair to the front portion of the lid, some scattered old nicks and mars from storage and the inlaid plaque in the center of the lid is missing. Accessories include two metal cleaning rods with brass handles, two Remington brass double cavity bullet molds, an Eley, London marked circular cap tin, a small metal oiler bottle and two brass spread-eagle powder flasks with slanted spouts. The cleaning rods, molds and flasks are all in overall very good + condition. There are also some cast old lead balls, an extra main spring and a working key to the case.
An opportunity to possess a great rarity in collector firearms. Suitable for any museum or serious private collection.
