Lot Description

Continental, 17th century. An unframed watercolor and wash on laid paper of a Classical scene depicting the construction of a large circular vessel, possibly a globe, by muscular figures clad in working garb; 10.5 x 16.5 in. (sheet size).

Condition

Tears and losses along edges and in corners, pin hole size losses in corners and in sheet, toning throughout.
