- Lot Description
American (Ohio) early 19th century. A late Federal to early Empire chest of drawers in cherry with pine secondary, having a formed gallery with two short drawers over one long drawer, flanked by sunflower roundels, above three graduated drawers, all reeded and dovetailed with glass pulls, the graduated drawers flanked by carved pilasters, all rising on turned baluster feet; ht. 55.5, wd. 43, dp. 21 in.
Circular water stains on top front right and left corners. Repair to top (wood plugs on back two corners and newer nails on front two corners). Loss to reeding on: top long drawer on right side, second drawer from bottom on right side, and bottom drawer on sections of top, left side, and bottom. Bottom drawer also with some wood loss to top left corner.Condition
