Late 19th-early 20th century. A group of four porcelain shaving mugs featuring horses and drivers, including one featuring a bridled white horse with faded gilt inscription above illustration, one featuring a bridled brown horse with reins held by a standing driver in a suit, with a pasture scene in the background and a gilt inscription above illustration, marked for T & V Limoges France on underside, one featuring a speeding horse-drawn fire carriage with one driver and one hose operator at the back, with faded gilt inscription above illustration and marked D & C on underside, and one featuring a horse-drawn ice carriage with one driver and one man carrying ice at the back, with faded gilt inscription below illustration; each ht. 3.5, wd. 3.5, dp. 3 in.
Ice carriage mug has two cracks extending from interior to exterior of mug, significant loss to gilt detail on most mugs with spots of staining throughout most mugs as well.Condition
