- Lot Description
North Shore Pewter Cupboard
American (Massachusetts), 18th century. A one-piece North Shore pewter cupboard in pine, having a projecting cornice and shaped valence above three shelves and a rectangular server top with a molded front edge, over a stack of four thumbmolded and graduated drawers with chestnut fronts and wood pulls flanked by raised-panel cupboard doors with H-hinges, each opening to a two-shelf interior, all rising on base molding; ht. 92, wd. 77, dp. 20.25 in.Condition
Some restorations and additions throughout. Left side scuffed and without cornice probably from being a built in on that side. The upper section most likely an early associated unit. Drawer fronts probably later.
