Lot of 2, including 2pp typed list headed "Valachi Part VIII," containing surnames and nicknames of those associated with Joseph Valachi, the first Mafia member to publicly acknowledge the Mafia's existence.
Accompanied by Giuseppe Magliocco Family crime chart with inked annotations, 24 x 22.5 in., ca 1963. Magliocco and many members of his family were a part of the Profaci crime family. Magliocco, the boss, failed to assassinate other New York mob bosses and assume power of the Mafia Commission. After his attempt, the Commission forced him to retire.
Acquired from the Estate of Frank Holeman, who was a reporter and assistant to the executive director for the New York Daily News.
