- Lot Description
Stereoview from The Modoc War series, titled 1627 - A Modoc Brave on the War Path, with credit to photographer, Edward J. Muybridge, and publishers Bradley & Rulofson, San Francisco, CA. A "posed" view in which Muybridge has used an Indian scout working for the US Army to represent the enemy Modoc brave, despite the fact that he was not Modoc.
Condition
Image has lightened a bit, very light surface soiling/smudges. Light corner and edge wear.
Base detached.
