30-40 caliber, 22" barrel, S/N 350212. Receiver marked U.S. Model 1899. Springfield Armory. Walnut stock with inspector cartouche dated 1907, and with firing proof behind trigger guard.

The barrel has almost all of its original blue finish remaining, with a small area of fading near the barrel band. The loading gate and receiver have almost all of their original blue finish, with some light fading on the receiver. The stock has some slight nicks and dings, along with some staining to the finish on the butt, but is in very good overall condition. The compartment in the buttplate is empty. The bore is in very good condition.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received. Shipment is generally made via UPS Ground service. Unless buyer gives special instructions, the shipping method shall be at the sole discretion of Cowan's Auctions, Inc..
