- Lot Description
.45-70, 22" barrel, S/N 381569 (worn and hard to read). Blued finish, walnut stock. Breech block marked US / MODEL / 1873. Lock with usual eagle motif and U.S. / SPRINGFIELD marks, which are weak. Correct barrel band with sight protector, Buffington sight correctly marked C for carbine. Pinned front sight blade. Saddle bar and ring present. Three piece cleaning rod in butt trap compartment.
Good to Very Good. Retains some blued finish, faded and worn, with some scattered surface oxidation. Mechanically functional, good bore that is mostly bright with scattered pitting. Stock very good and solid with minor dings and mars, and no visible cartouche.Condition
