.50-70 caliber, 32.5" barrel length. 1870 rear barrel sight. Breechblock marked Model 1870 with eagle over crossed arrows. Barrel has numbers stamped in the left side at breech "386." Correct double shoulder ramrod. Stock is correct type for the Model 1870 with ski slope on the sides of the tang.
All metal has an even brown patina with some very minute pitting mixing in. Stock is excellent with a nice old dark untouched patina, three dim cartouches on the left flat opposite of the lock. Bore will clean to excellent. Model 1870 rifles are the hardest Indian war rifles to find.
SHIPPING. At the request of the buyer, Cowan's will authorize the shipment of purchased items. Shipments usually occur within two weeks after payment has been received.
