Model 1728 Flintlock Musket by Blachon
French. .72 caliber, 46.75" smoothbore round barrel, octagonal at the breech with proof marks. Original flint, lock with iron pan, flat plate has partially legible maker's mark "BLACHON," gooseneck hammer frozen in place. Three-band walnut stock with drop angle buttstock indicative of early musket design. Iron furniture and ramrod. A widely used musket in colonial America especially during the French and Indian War.

Fair to good. Bore dirty, but will clean to good. Metal finish in an even dark patina. Buttstock with worm holes and some wood loss around the toe of the buttplate.
