Model 1717 Fusil Ordinaire Flintlock Musket
French. .69 caliber, 46.75" half-round, half-octagonal smoothbore barrel. Original flint, flat-style lock with gooseneck hammer and iron pan, plate stamped with partially legible maker's mark; action functions properly. Full walnut stock with pinned barrel, buttstock with dropped angle typical of early 18th century muskets, owner's initials "WI" or "IM" carved on the obverse. Iron furniture and ramrod. Early European musket that also saw extensive service in colonial America.

Good. Overall age darkened finish with minor surface oxidation. Bore dirty, but will clean better. A section of wood replaced between the tang and lock. Normal age and wear on the remainder of the stock.
