Mochaware Mugs, 19th Century
19th century. A group of four mochaware mugs, one with brown and blue bands, a banded example with seaweed decoration, a brown mug with an incised cross-hatch pattern, and a brown and blue banded mug with delicate diamond and vine pattern; largest ht. 4.75 in.
Seaweed Mug: Wear and light chips to foot. Crack across diameter of bottom and several hairlines. Several small chips in upper rim. Glaze bleeding along upper banding. Blue glaze spot.
