- Lot Description
.75 caliber, 44.75" round smooth barrel, no S/N. Brass trigger guard, buttplate, sideplates and ramrod pipes. Barrel marked with star proof near barrel tang. Lockplate marked "LANE & READ/BOSTON" with roller-mounted frizzen. Stock marked on right side with "76." 6" repair on stock on left side of muzzle. Two-piece takedown stock with brass shims.
Good condition. Barrel has an overall plum patina with some corrosion near flash hole. Screw missing from front of trigger guard. Brass fittings have a dull mustard coloration with numerous marks and dents on stock from age and use. Action holds at half and full cock but does not function normally. Bore fair.Condition
